The Watchful Eye Clip Sees Elena Keep Secrets Close To The Vest [EXCLUSIVE]

 




Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive clip from this week's episode of The Watchful Eye. The Freeform mystery series combines thriller elements with a supernatural tone, focusing on an eerie building owned by the Greybourne family that appears to attract bad luck and tragic endings. When the sweet yet sinister Elena Santos (Mariel Molino) becomes a nanny in order to make her way into the Greybourne and steal a ruby, she finds herself facing forces with plans more malevolent than her own.


The Watchful Eye also stars Warren Christie (who recently made a splash in the short-lived Batwoman series) as Matthew Ward, the widower of Greybourne descendant Allie and Elena's new boss. Person of Interest's Amy Acker has also joined the cast as Allie's sister Tory, whose animosity towards Elena is less about suspicion and more a matter of pure jealousy. Finally, The Walking Dead: World Beyond's Aliyah Royale plays fellow nanny Ginny, whose help might be even more valuable to Elena than she knows.

Screen Rant's exclusive clip from The Watchful Eye episode 4, "The Nanny Vanishes," opens with a bonding moment between Elena and Ginny. While Ginny reacts with sympathy upon hearing that Elena lost her father early on, the latter shrinks back due to her own reticence for sharing. Ginny calls her out on it, noting that she is like "a book that's still in the shrink wrap." Nevertheless, she respects Elena's choice to be a little secretive, and it appears the girls have reached a new understanding in time for the events of the episode.

Given that Elena previously lied about her mother's passing, "The Nanny Vanishes" may for her to confront her past and put her in a tough position given that she's already promised not to lie anymore. In addition, her recent ghost sightings and fear of being watched are increasing her paranoia, making for what is sure to be an uncomfortable experience in this week's The Watchful Eye.
